The 26th conference of the network of female firefighters Germany takes place in Schwäbisch-Gmünd from November 1 to 4 2018. The Congress aims to facilitate communication exchange and the advanced training of female fire fighters. The participants come from all categories of professional, full-time, industrial, volunteer and county fire brigades. In recent years it has also been our privilege to welcome colleagues from other countries.
The program offers a mix of theoretical and practical workshops in all areas of fire fighting. However, sports, self-awareness, personality development and women's issues are also on the program. There is time scheduled to share experiences. If you plan to attend the conference and want to extend your stay in Germany or Europe please let us know. We would be happy to assist you.
Pre-conference program
Thursday, November 1, 2018
On Thursday you have the possibility to participate in different guided tours in Schwäbisch Gmünd and Stuttgart.
Tiefer Stollen Visitor Mine
Iron ore was mined in Braunenberg from 1608 to 1939. During this time, the underground labyrinth grew up to six kilometres in length. Today the most interesting tunnels, shafts and corridors are open: as show mines and for the healing tunnel therapy. Already the entrance with the mine railway into the huge sandstone halls is a highlight. During the 800-metre tour through the tunnels, you will learn about the efforts and craftsmanship that the miners used to put into mining the ore.
Start 14:00 (15min earlier)

Guided tower guard tour
When it gets dark in the oldest Staufer town of Schwäbisch Gmünd, stories from long-forgotten days come to life again. Accompany the Gmünd tower keeper on his tour through the medieval alleys and on a foray through the many centuries of the city's history.
Not only the dreadful plague, the cruel witch hunt and terrible city fires, but also stories from everyday life, which inspire to smile, but also to think, should be reported here.
Start: 16:15 h from the hotel a 3min. walk
Fees: Adults 4,00 €.
Children free
Murder(s) - Stories from Stuttgart (only from 18 years!)
Dive into spectacular and eerie things. Who better to tell the true stories about crime in Stuttgart than former detectives of the Stuttgart Homicide Department? And because a lot has happened in two centuries, these professionals have a lot in store - from poisoning out of desperation to running amok, which could only partially be prevented. One thing is for sure: you will think back to the "reality show"!
